This course will give you a quick overview of how to begin the process of starting your own business. We'll give you step-by-step examples and take the guesswork out of the process so you can get back to doing what you love.

We cover everything from forming a business, the business structure (think LLC, Sole Proprietor, etc.), choosing a name, registration (IRS and touch on state), sales & use tax information, when to open a bank account, insurance and bookkeeping software.  We also show you how to research these items on government websites to know the information you are searching is accurate and trusted. 

​The goal of this course is to provide you with some direction & a task list of all the things that need to be done so you can begin to tackle them yourself or know when to hire it out.

IRS & State Registration - Advanced Business Set-up

We know, no one wants to deal with the legal stuff. But you want your business to start off on the right foot. This course will help you make sure  your business is squared away by helping you figure out registering with the IRS and registering with the state (using South Dakota as the example). We want your business to be ready to serve your customers!

The goal of this course is to get you prepared for signing up for an EIN and knowing where to find the state requirements for your state as well as getting your feet wet with the registration process in South Dakota for your example.
